I ordered this mainly for personal use. It's made of a sturdy outter plastic that won't break easily even if dropped a good number of times on hard flooring or concrete. The measuring band's material is sturdy enough to withstand being tugged on fairly hard without stretching or deforming. My only complaint is that the little blue piece you pull on to use the darn thing came off because the measuring material was hardly melted at all to form a "band" to hold the blue piece in place! I'm considering using one of those chip bag resealers to try and "reseal" the blue piece back into a loop.

It is a tape measure so there isn't much to say about it except it seems to be made a bit hardier than others like it. It is inexpensive but not cheaply made. It lives in my junk drawer and gets used alot and does the job.

I used this tape measure when I first moved into my apartment, to check furniture size before purchasing.
I also use this tape measure for clothing measurements.
It's made of plastic, the measuring part itself is flexible. I don't know about the longevity of the measure, as it doesn't seem incredibly durable, but it gets the job done, and I'm not using it on a regular basis anyway.
Overall, this is a cheap tape measure for people who don't measure very often.

Love this little gadget. Fits great in my purse. I use it mostly to measure plant pots during summer season - I plant a lot of flowers on my balcony and have various planters which I love buying just the right size pots for. Also handy while shopping in supply stores. Clicks when you roll it out, push of a button retracts the line. I love the fact it's flexible, so it can be easily stretched around objects.

I got this to measure head circumference at a doctor's office. It clicks when you pull the tape out, unless you hold the retract button down while you are pulling the tape out. Measuring the head on squirming baby is hard enough...I don't want to be worrying about holding down the button too. I'm sure the clicking sound will freak out the babies. I'm sending mine back and am ordering some from a medical supply company even though it will cost more.
