I feel snookered.
My take on this is that it is a well-marketed mediocre product. It has "bio" in the name, has friendly script on the label, and even the touted ingredient, "PurCellin oil" sounds good, like "pure" and "cells", suggesting it's pure and doing something on the cellular level. Your basic feel-good marketing.
To the good, yes, it's light, it spreads and absorbs somewhat easily. It even smells very nice. To the bad, it has done nothing for my slightly uneven skin tone, nor for dry skin patches on knees and ankles. Maybe it does more for scars and stretch marks, but it didn't handle these "easier" issues well. (To at least use the stuff up, I've been sweeping it on my lips before bed, and it has not done half as well in protecting and softening as the old DCT.)
And Bio-Oil's first ingredient is -ooooh- "Paraffinum Liquidum". Let's call a spade a spade - that's mineral oil! You could get a bucket of mineral oil for less than this 2 oz. bottle.
Fool me twice? Not bloody likely.

I have no idea what made me think this product would work on my scar. The scar is still there but the acne produced by the oil is incredible. I'm talking big, red, bumps filled with pus. God, I hate it. I'll keep using the bio though since it seems to work for others who stick with it. Wish I could do something about the pimples though.

I read about Bio Oil on a different site and started looking for more info, which led me to Amazon. This is a great liquid moisturizer, especially for your body! Its suppose to be good for stretch marks as well, but I havent seen any difference in that area yet though. A little goes a long way, so though the bottle is small, it should last you for a while.

It's only been a week and I am seeing results in 5 year old stretch marks (lovingly given to me by my 5 year old)! They are fading to a normal skin tone and filing in. I also have been putting it on years old mosquito bite scars that had formed hard lumps on my thighs and they are shrinking and fading! This is a miracle potion!

I ordered Bio-Oil, 2-Ounce Bottle about 3-4 months ago and still have more than half a bottle of the product. Economical, unlike some products I have priced. I believe it is available on Subscribe & Save. I will be setting up a S & S for this product as soon a I see how long it lasts. It is a very light oil that spreads easily on your skin. A small amount goes a long way. The "oiliness" seems to be absorbed rather quickly (just 2-3 minutes)so that you aren't left feeling greasy. I have noticed a smoothing and softening of my skin & a more even skin tone. I have one age spot on my right hand and that has faded quite a bit, but can still be seen. I only use the oil once a day and am quite satisfied with the results. (Twice a day is recommended.) If it came with sun screen I would use it twice a day. Am getting pleasing results with bedtime application. I live in Texas and can't stand a heavy cream or oil on my face in the summer months. Bio-Oil does not leave my face plastered to my pillowcase at night. Good on hands and feet, too. Softens callouses. Has a pleasant, light fragrance. I would recommend this product to others, especially 50-somethings like myself-- and older.
