| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description What is it: A blemish-fighting mask that was developed by dermatologists to address existing blemishes and prevent new ones from forming. Who is it for: Teens and adults, men and women with mild to moderate acne-prone or oily skin. Why is it different: The medicated mask is formulated with 6% sulfur to battle acne blemishes while helping to refine skin texture, deeply cleanse pores, and remove impurities from the skin. How do I use it: Apply to dampened skin; leave on for 10 minutes; and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Can be used two to three times per week. If going outside, use a sunscreen. The mask can be used alone, but for best results, use with the three-step system

Acne mask February 2, 2010 nayfur Not worth it. Is not how they describe it on t.v., "Dab some on and pimple is almost gone when you wake up." Does dry you out too. Would NOT buy again. Proactiv is overpriced. Many friends have said it does not work. Don't be sucked in by the stars saying it works. They are getting paid.
Didn't work for me. January 31, 2010 Rebecca Simonsick (Latrobe, PA) This product did not work for me when used as spot treatment and it smells terrible. It does, however, work for one of my friends. I think it depends on your skin chemistry. It was worth a try and since I ordered it on amazon it was actually affordable.
its the genuine stuff January 30, 2010 Jen I was a little skeptical that this would be actual proactive, but it was. it smells jus like the stuff. and it works like it.
Works great, but does not heal things. January 30, 2010 S. J. Bice (florida) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Pros:
Stops pimples from coming up (when you catch them before they break the surface)
Kills the pimples already up
Does not have a strong smell
Cons:
Very drying
Does not heal blemishes, just leaves them dryed out scabs
Does nothing for blackheads.
I have had luck with this. It stopped a serious breakout in its tracks, which has never happened for me with any other product. After that week though, I stopped using on large areas (my jawline, where I breakout the most). I now only use it when I feel something coming up, and then moisterize the rest of my face. All in all a great product, but if you have dry skin already, you may want to pass this up.
Great science! December 9, 2009 N. Sacksteder (Tuscon, AZ) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This product contains sulfur, a non-synthetic antibacterial compound. In theory, bacteria see the sulfur and absorb it because it looks so much like vitamin D to them. Through an unknown mechanism, this kills the bacteria. Neat!
On a side note, i paid $9.50 for this product. Their price fluctuates daily, so add it to your cart and wait for the best price.
