Just what I expected July 25, 2010 G. Gomez (Miami, Fl) Product is just what I expected. Shipping took longer than usual...I think because of a mistake at USPS.
Heads are not cheap, but plastic is high quality with metal reinforcement July 22, 2010 HMMWV (santa clara, CA USA) If you price power toothbrush heads, sonicare floats to the top everywhere among brands. I've used other brands [cheaper] and found you get what you pay for in cleaning effectiveness. Also in terms of longevity, the philips system heads last longer, on the order of 4 months where some "bargain brand" heads are lucky at 2 months.
Of course all varies with technique. If you are closing your mouth on the brush you are in for a shock on the back side but also smashing the bristles down. I found I was doing this alot until I got the philips system which broke me of that habbit (dentists call it chewing your brush).
I also make it a habit to rinse the brush in Deionized water then place it into the UV sterilizer after use. This seems to remove all contaminates and kill any bacteria.
Size is a matter of preference. The large heads get the job done faster, but if you had your wisdom teeth removed due to space issues, the small head may be needed to get behind your last molar.
Finally, sonicare's plastic appears to be virgin (no regrind added to the mix) which in this day of injection molding is a rare item to find. I sectioned an old brush and looked for signs of regrind additives and could no find one spek in the whole brush-head shaft 45 degree cut using polarized light and a 100x microscope.
Amazon is also offering a good price compared to other sources, so I have to say this is overall a good product at a good price, and if treated properly it could last a year.
Spares July 21, 2010 Jim C. Daniel (Houston, Texas USA) Purchased a set of replacement brush heads when I purchased a new Sonicare. Always good to have spares. The Sonicare was a replacement for an older model that I had used for about 10 years. The new model is much better.
Good start to good teeth! July 20, 2010 C. Munson (Kentucky, USA) My dentist recommended electric toothbrush - I get these on Subscribe and Save so they get changed every 3 months. I have used other electric toothbrushes which I do not like as much as Sonicare. If you want healthy teeth and gums, this is the place to start (also floss and pre-rinse help too!).
Perfect! July 16, 2010 Tavore I was looking for this in all the Publix and supermarket near my house, I finally found it on Amazon and is perfect! just what i was needing. :)
